I was out on Lake Jordan for the first time last week and our boat is kind of small, so I'd like to find a beach where I can have a larger family/friend group to be able to take turns on the boat. While not in the boat, they'd want to hang on the beach and talk/watch, etc. I noticed that a lot of boats were doing this at Poplar Point, but that beach is only for campers. There were 3 or 4 inboard ski boats beached there.

Of the four day-use parks with beaches, which if any are safe to navigate in and beach a boat... 17' outboard with a fish&ski (like a bass boat) hull. I am not talking about doing this in the swimming area, but off to the side and a short walk to the swimming area. At Poplar point, they were off to the left of the swim area looking from the water.

You can do this at Farrington Point. It has a beach, and people swim there, but it is not considered a beach area per se (ie, not roped off).

We usually beach our boat right next to one of the beach/swimming areas....I think it might be the Ebenezer Church area, or its on that side of the lake. There is a section of beach that is outside the roped area that is a no wake zone.

Now that I reread your post, it might have been Poplar Point. But we have beached our boat there and not been camping.

We have also done it at Seaforth. Off to the left of the public beach boats will tend to gather.

I saw one pontoon boat over there, but I was afraid to go up in there. Have you seen a lot of other boats over to the left there? Any underwater obstructions to watch out for that you are aware of? I realize I'm going in at my own risk in any case, and things can change... but just looking for some advice from other boaters that have done this.

On the Google Map, Ebenezer also seems to have an area to the right of the beach that looks like a spot. Its funny because on my iPhone, that area of beach is gone and there is water there, but on the full version of Google maps, there is sand there. I didn't actually drive down there at all to see if there were boats there.

Seaforth would be the best case for me because that is where we put the boat in at and its a large area so plenty of place for friends to park and such. I don't think there is still a ramp at Ebenezer, so we'd have to split up in the cars and meet up on the beach... obviously prone to some mix ups.
