HI,

Our realtor has been fantastic and made it possible for us to buy our home and we want to get her a gift of appreciation but have NO clue what to get.

So for my realtor friends.. any suggestions? She is female - 50's (age) and is just a super nice person.

Thanks!

The biggest gift you can give is a testimonial, perhaps video.

Really? We were thinking a "Thank You" card and a monetary gift card inside. No?

I actually agree - a testimonial and bringing her another client is most important.

But as a nice gesture, getting her a gift certificate for a nice dinner is great. But she'll be much more appreciative of a referral for sure

I like when agents actually give their clients gifts. My agent - who made $10k off of me, gave me a small wine decanter and some glasses. Probably cost $50... but it was a nice housewarming gift.

Your agent made plenty of cash off of you - reward them with a referral.

A thank you card would be very nice also.

By all means, an effusive thank you note would be great. Referrals are awesome! One set of clients got me a small gift card in the middle of their hunt (they had some specific needs and we saw a lot of properties).

A sincere Thank You card. I love the idea of a testimonial short video (easily done with a lot of cameras). She can put it on her web site. Ask for her business cards so you have them whenever anyone needs a good realtor.

Most good realtors just like to know they made a difference. I recently had a 4 yr old and his 7 yr old brother tell me at closing "Thank you, Miss Cheryl. We have a yard now." You think there was a dry eye at that closing?

I vote for a nice thank you card and referrals. No gift necessary. My agent made 90% of $15,750 when we bought our house. I think that's compensation enough. I think he would have felt uncomfortable if we'd given him a gift, especially since the closing gift he gave us ended up being unusable (error on his part).

We were thrilled with our realtor team. I bought each of the two realtors we used a nice $50 bottle of wine (not too expensive, but nice enough) and baked cookies for the office staff along with a thank-you note for the office. They seemed to like it. And if they don't, wine is easy to regift

Thanks for everyones recommendations. I'm still not super crazy about the video. I will write a nice referral for her to add to her website, and of course I've been telling anyone who will listen how wonderful she is so I'll also get some business cards from her to pass out.
