I got an email and phone call from someone with "Real Estate Promoter" dot com and wanted to know if anyone has used them or knew anything about them. Apparently they charge around $800 for website creation and 30 a month for hosting. But since I was a member of one of their partner sites they were going to just charge me for hosting.... sounds too good.
Could anyone tell me if they've used them or heard anything about them?

I don't know if I would work with someone I didn't know
I would probably look and interview IT folks to see their work
although i dont have that problem
My husband is one of those IT folks
he made my site and hosts it on one of his servers
Thank goodness
As a NAR Certified ePRO Trainer, (I do Free 1 hour to 90 minute workshops on how being internet certified is good for your business.) I can email you a link to start your own FREE real estate website. PM me.
I've heard that Point2Agent do great websites. I personally have used iHouse for my business. On my personal website, I have it hosted with goDaddy- much cheaper hosting!
those people snagged me and it is a lame site check:
www.goodctrealtors.com (broken link) it has nothing to offer, i have two of my listings on there and have not received a single lead. chenck my other site through P2: www.juliaAmalik.com (broken link). the difference is dramatic and I pay the same for both.

Good luck!
I use Point2agent. I have used a few others and am very please with Point2 I recommend them.
Thanks for the info, esp. you Julia. Is the realestatpromoters site one that is tied in to the MLS or is strictly listings that you put in that are searched? I don't really like the fact that you have to put in an email address to get any results - it seems people would be turned off by this.
Could you tell me the ballpark as far as costs for these sites... ? Maybe in a PM if you'd prefer. Thanks, I'd appreciate it!!

Most big brokers have sites for you already. E-pro classes can help educate you on the very question you ask, are well worth the time, and are supported by NAR.
