We have started looking for a house since beginning of Jan. The inventory in our area has been very low. We have seen all potential houses available. Can I expect more listings later on this year?

From your other posts it appears that you are looking in a fairly exclusive area. There are currently 134 listings in Granite Bay ranging from $195K to $5.9M. Are none of those suitable?

We are looking for a newer single story home. There have not been many of those. Some available potentials have some issues with locations and floorplan.

Does what you want actually exist ? Sometimes you've got to adjust your expectations or price if you're trying to get in a specific area.

If you're working with an agent, may I suggest that you have them start looking at expired listings that have been withdrawn from the market over the past 2 years. My market area is also kind of dry for new inventory lately. 18 months ago there were 93 homes for sale and now there are 35.
