I am glad that I NEVER have to worry about snow removal here in Florida. Of course, most states don't have to worry about hurricanes.
I think I'd rather have snow. You don't usually hear about entire communities being wiped off the map during a snow storm.
Anyway, I look it like this . . . you guys don't want to leave the house in the summer (too hot) and we don't want to leave the house in the winter (too cold). So, in the end we both have a few unpleasant months of the year.

I have a lot of friends & family that live in South Florida. Hurricanes do a lot more damage in general than snow storms. Also, the potential for damage is greater with a Hurricane because they can do the kind of damage I mentioned.

When was the last time a hurricane wiped anyone off the map to quote you?
I seem to recall hurricane Katrina in 2005 (8 years ago) doing a tiny little bit of damage in New Orleans and the gulf region.
Hurricane Andrew in 1992 (21 years ago) was the costliest hurricane in US history and it hit Florida square in the mouth. It was years before some areas of the state were entirely rebuilt. I was in Miami shortly after the hurricane and many neighborhoods looked like a bomb went off.

I know at UF the quality of education isn't that good, but I didn't think you wouldn't know about the last 20 years of local history. Go Canes!
