The significance of them is that the OP's son built them on a whim after he came home from a trip to Asia. In this case, I don't think they have quite the meaning you think they have.
I agree...you are correct.....but he clearly saw their significance in Asia, and felt compelled to try his hand. It's no big deal, but why simply toss them errantly when they can be dismantled with grace and the respect that (some) might show.
I was more trying to make the point that just because you don't understand something doesn't make it wrong. Just different than what we are used to. Which is why they need to go.....bad joo-joo and all. You know...evil stuff.

Uhhhhh.... actually he pretty much does. He spent a year in Tibet and Sikkim an longer in other Buddhist places. He definitely sees the little hill as a positive energy source and when you watch the flags rippling in the breeze I have to admit, he has a point. They are very calming and meditative to look at out the kitchen window or the deck. But it's not beyond imagination that some might find it sinister or creepy. But that's mostly about the flags. Cairns are all over the place, nothing exotic, and anybody spending time in the mountains has seen them again and again. Hence the post....

Reason: clarity
I would get rid of them for all the reasons the others have said. If they had historic significance, that would be a different story. But they don't and you don't want to turn off potential buyers.
Perhaps, post them on Craigslist or Freecycle, and someone who will appreciate them can take them off your hands. I personally like them and think they would be great decor for a peaceful garden setting.
The average buy doesn't buy your house, the person that really likes it is the buyer. The unique aspect may turn some people off, but it will also turn others on. While it would be ideal to be all things to all people, it is not practical. If I saw that, I would be more interested in the house.
PS. My parents would probably be less interested.
