Our house in southern Arizona came with a Sentricon termite control system. Does anyone know if this is the best way to go? There are no bait stations covering the 18 ft of driveway and 21 linear feet of paver bricks and sidewalk out front. My regular pest control person doesn't think very highly of the system and recommends just spraying. There doesn't seem to be much on line other than what Sentricon has put out. Any thoughts?

We have it at our house and haven't had any issues in the 3 years we've owned it. I know that's a small sample size, and I have no idea about their effectiveness as a whole, but I figure we are covered by their bond regardless. They are responsible for fixing any damage if it doesn't work. It's impossible to sell a house in Georgia without a termite bond so we have to keep one active regardless of what preventative system we are using.

Heavy rain sometimes makes the flags pop up falsely. Also I've heard complaints that other insects get in there and feed.

I'm more of a fan of Termidor/Taurus barrier method with some Borax (boracare) spray treatments on exposed wood.
