I have been very successful before now with selling on my own. Those were the escrows that went through with no problems. Every one with an agent has been a problem.

But this time I put our house on zillow and the phone immediately started to ring. But after the 14 agents and 4 wholesalers a day I got very little real calls. Thought I had one because an agent came and showed the house but an hour later he called and tried to get a listing so now I think that might have been a set up.

Got one offer that didn't qualify so decided maybe the hundreds of calls I had gotten to put our house on MLS had some merit so made the horrible mistake of listing.

That is a nightmare on another thread. So now we are stuck. Even if we were to find a buyer we have our hands tied. I want to update the house since we have missed the good selling time but can't because of the listing.

All it takes is the right one person and your house will sell. Good luck.

I've sold a couple and bought a couple FSBO. The biggest issue I've had, and it is very annoying, is that a large number of people believe that For Sale By Owner mean that the seller will finance for them. Even though it specifically says in the ad that there is no owner financing, they come around to see the property, try to buy it with no money down, and then they get angry about it.

In my area, the escrow company handles all the paperwork and they know what legal documents have to be provided, so once you find a buyer that has money instead of unfounded dreams, the sale and transfer part is easy.
