The seller is that desperate. Love might be blind... but apparently all the fish know what a baited hook looks like.

This has more flags than a 4th of July parade.

That is a condo so each unit is owned by an individual owner. That owner is responsible for his own repairs that are needed inside the condo. Each individual owner is responsible for his own lease and for choosing his own tenants.

The "property manager" is the employee of the HOA and he is taking care of repairs that are needed outside of the units. He does not manage the individual units. The HOA does not own the units and so they do not manage them and thy do not pay someone to manage them.

Not only is love "blind" but it's "deaf & dumb" too! (We've all been guilty of this one!)

You mentioned there are pluses - what are they and what do you love about it? Everything you described about it sounds negative.

There couldn't be enough pluses to outweigh the negatives. Just say no.

The positive is that cell phones are banned in common areas, that's enough for the OP to buy in.

I believe what she hasn't stated is it is a short walk to the ocean. I'm not sure that's a plus exactly. Sea level rise on the East coast is a reality.

Not just on the East Coast. It just happens to be more noticeable there because of coastal topography, slope of the continental shelf, and humanity building in stupid places!

In the Pacific Northwest we have a subduction zone fault going under the coast that actually lifts it up. So, we are neutral on sea level rise. It's obvious that Southern California has a ton of coastal erosion. But, there's already a lot of flooding of certain cities on the East coast (Miami and New York). So, where you actually have high tide during a lot of storms pouring water into the city streets or subways in the case of New York you are seeing the effects more on the East Coast.
