Ummm, mind if I ask why you would want the carpet removed in a house you were not the owner of? As a seller I can tell you that if someone asked me something like that I would think they were a crackpot and I would instruct my agent not to let them near my house.

When carpet covers hardwood flooring, it's not uncommon for buyers to ask the seller to remove the carpet as a condition of sale.

If the seller agrees, the seller would likely not do so until just prior to closing. Some sellers agree and some do not.
