I'm planning to get out of same old same rut with this years's Thanksgiving day menu.
I'm going to re- create "old school Italian" menu for the day. Some of the things I have in mind will be large family style antipasto plate, lasagne, italian wedding soup and sausage stuffing.

Ay ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated.

I'd throw in a little Northern Italian, maybe a nice wild mushroom risotto or a ragout of mushrooms served over polenta.

Just what I was about to add I eat maybe one piece of pumpkin pie a year but would happily trade it for a good cannoli.

I second a good ravioli.

Maybe gnocchi in a simple brown butter/parm sauce.

BTW....the great thing about these suggestions is: unlike not eating turkey and cranberry all other days of the year... These ideas/receipes can ALWAYS be enjoyed. That is if you don't mind putting 50 lbs on lol.
