I think that chocolate chips are key. That's the only way that I remember zucchini bread.

Tastes a lot better the next day and once in the fridge. I will make it again but next time I am gonna use regular flower vs whole wheat and add more nuts and chocolate chips.

YAY to the chocolate chips!

Funny story: When I was a teenager, I was over at a friend's house and her mother asked me if I'd like a piece of zucchini bread. "Nope. Thanks anyway." A few minutes later, she asked me I'd like some chocolate chunk cake. "Sure! Thanks!" The three of us sat down to the chocolate chunk cake -- which was DELICIOUS!! -- and when I told her how much I liked it, she said, "I'm so glad that you like the zucchini bread!" SAY WHAT?!?!

Good story. I was telling my fiance about adding chocolate chips and he acted like I was crazy! How much do you usually add? The recipe called for raisins but I omitted them.

Crazy? He's crazy for thinking that it's crazy!

I honestly have no idea how much. It's been a long time and I never made it -- just ate it. But I do remember that there was chocolate in every bite so take that for what it's worth. Maybe start with less than a lot (how's that for an exact measurement? "less than a lot") and then, if you like it (how could you not??? ), add more next time.
