I grated half stick of butter to two cups of white lily self rising flour. It came together super fast so I hardly had to do anything other then cut it a few times with a pastry cutter thingie. I added 1/2 cup of buttermilk and mixed by hand, added almost another 1/2 cup of buttermilk til I had a moist dough ball. Rolled it out on floured surface, cut then with my biscuit circle cutter. I had then touching each other and used scrap dough on the outer edges.
Brushed on buttermilk, baked for 12 minutes. Then brushed on melted butter. So delicious.
I like to add cold bacon grease to mine. Handle the dough/mix as little as possible.
