These are best! I moved your post to the Recipes forum although I think it could be fine in either forum.

Yes. I've done shiitakes and have some blue oysters and chestnuts spawning right now.

Not sure how many people have access to Lions Mane mushrooms so the recipe will mean little to almost everyone reading it as evidenced by the comments so far. Respectfully it probably fits better in Food & Drink and may inspire people to explore the world of edible mushrooms.

How do you keep the humidity high enough?

I keep the fruiting blocks and bags in large plastic storage containers with a layer of soaked perlite on the bottom that provides the humidity and crack the lids for fresh air. I have a small fan that I run a few times a day to get fresh air in.

I may try these mushrooms. There is a vendor at the local farmers market that sells a lot of unique mushrooms including this one. I’ve always been a bit freaked out by their appearance but if they taste as good as you describe I may get some. Thanks for the info!

Not that the other varieties taste bad but the australian one I find very delicious. The taste reminds a lot of seafood, closer to lobster. Of, course it's not the same as eating lobster. To be honest, I mostly value the health benefits they provide. In fact, one of my friends who had suffered some nerve related trauma was recommended this type of mushroom to speed up the recovery and it really helped him.td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}
