I have this friend who regularly brings up how 'fat' she is. She obviously does it for attention hoping that someone (especially me it seems) will say: "No, you're not fat! You're beautiful!"
Well sorry but I'm not the person to look to when fishing for compliments. So at first I just ignored her and she seemed mad. Oh well, still not falling for it.
A couple of weeks ago there was a bit of an 'incident' between us that I won't go into. But apparently that situation renewed her zeal because she started bringing up her 'big hips' or her 'fat ass' or whatever all over again. This time though instead of ignoring her I just started agreeing and you know what? We are now flirting about how fat she is!
Maybe the funniest part is that I don't even think she's fat
this might be funny for now, but at some point it's going to get old, dont you think? people like this need constant reassurance, and that gets exhausting after a while.

So I won't reassure her and we'll see what happens. So far she likes me more when I tease her about her insecurities anyway
I'm fat and would not want you calling me fat and laughing at it. I can make fun of myself. But not others.
She's not fat, that's sort of the point? I'm not making fun of her for being fat, I'm making fun of her insecurity about whether or not she's fat. Huge difference!

Well ok...she's not fat and she thinks she is. Ask her what size jeans she wears. Anything under a size 16 isn't fat.
