Frankly, that hasn't been my experience. But if that starts becoming the norm for me, then I sure won't be giving any more of my precious $$ to the theaters.

I give my money to my ISP so that I can download movies and watch them in peace and privacy.

Haven't been to a theater in over 10 years. I ran into your exact situation too many times.

I don't go to mainstream theaters much, either - because it was freezing (since the recession it's a bit better and even warm in the cheap ones) and because of the pigs in question. They're also too loud for my taste and I'm mostly not interested in the movies shown there anyway. We have an artsy theater I go to occasionally.

I find a movie theater to be a much better venue for watching a movie...I am too easily disrupted at home. And if I want to watch a first-run movie, then the theater is the only place to see it (legally of course). In any event, I'm hoping that people are not turning into complete pigs at the theater for a few more years at least.

I gave up on that hope years ago, but I wish you well.

Dogwalker and I went to True Grit. The last time I went to a movie was a year before when it was Sherlock Holmes. I'm not a big movie person.

Yeah I liked True Grit as well. I'm a huge movie fan. I'd go every weekend if it wasn't getting to be so dang expensive.

You and Dogwalker? I had no idea. I miss all the good stuff these days.

Popcorn Miss?... Would that be the credit card size, your second job paycheck size, or will you need this application for a second mortgage?

Thank goodness I'm not a big popcorn fan. My BF is, but even he has stopped buying it. If I am going with someone that wants popcorn, I'll pop it at home and carry it in a ziplock bag. Drinks are the same way. I'll take a 16oz bottle of water. The prices are exorbitant - I don't know how anyone can take the family to the movies anymore unless they are wealthy!

I just called in for a snow day. My company is open, but I hate driving in this weather. I always feel a bit guilty calling in even tho I'm going to use PTO. Most of my other colleagues braved it.
