Thanks. My son got invited to go on a cruise over spring break. They leave 4/15 for Ft. Lauderdale and the cruise leaves 4/16. The cruise is FREE so I really hate for him to not be able to go! (His passport expired last year darn it! ) We have to go in person and the closest passport post office to us has no appt's available for the next week!! I was getting bummed that that was just too risky, but I found a podunk post office 45 min away that opens at 8am tomorrow and we are going to head there in the morning. I plan on doing the expedite thing, even though you got yours superfast without it.

Technically, he doesn't need one for this cruise, but I'd feel better if he had one, just in case something happened.

Just to be safe, whenever i traveled anywhere, i always carried a certified copy of my Birth Certificate.

I'm sure your beloved son will have a Wonderful ADventure.

Where is the cruise sailing to?

Thanks Hawk. No need for a BC when you have a passport. Also I always laminate a copy of the passport inside, and keep those on hand as well. Cruise is on the behemoth ship Oasis of the Seas - to Haiti, Jamiaca, and Cozumel. Not my choice of an itinerary, but hey I'm not paying!

Cozumel is a nice place to visit. Jamaica is a hole but I swam with the dolphins there so there are a few nice places.

Cozumel was pretty, good snorkeling and nice bars.

You'll have a great time

That would be fun. Set it up with some sort of setup for camping, fishing and the whole 9 yards.
