That's right. It's used by those that can't understand why they can't make someone like them. So they use that term to explain away the "unexplainable".
It's a stupid term that confuses those that actually do have a few brain cells flickering. There is no such "zone".
It doesnt always work out that way. In some cases you are right, the guy was never going to be seen as more than a friend. In a different scenario, if you have ever dumped someone and they wanted to stay in the relationship and you remained friends with them you put them in the friend zone, the feelings you had for them WERE real at one point but no longer. The term seems to only confuse you.
There IS such a thing as the Friend Zone, and once you are there, you are there forever
If a woman is not attracted to a man, then yeah, you can call that the Friend Zone. That's fine.
But where all these Internet Gurus who try to sell eBooks on the subject go wrong, is in assuming the guy has any power over whether a woman will like him or not. He doesn't. Either the woman finds him attractive, or she doesn't. He can buy the eBook, and learn all the lines, and learn all the formulas these guys come up - but if she doesn't feel the attraction, no eBook formula is going to help.
But if she does feel it? And he feels it too? That's magic! And you don't need an Internet Guru hawking eBooks to tell you how to get there - just follow your hormones and use your brain!
However you call it, there ain't a way out of there as our dear Hurricane, for instance, finally started to realize after not being willing to listen to ol' Sierra...
He didn't listen to me either . I advised him to tell her that he liked her, but noooo, he just couldn't do it, and now he is in the dreaded friend zone.
