If the OP really wanted to isolate whether men would prefer a SAHM or a career women, he would get more accurate results by leaving sexual style out of the question.
Frankly, I don't see SAHM's as being timid or "obedient" either.
A sperm donor's impact ends at conception. A dad's impact never ends.
Whichever. There are plenty of working fathers who are married to the mother of their kids that don't do anything past work and bring home the money to support them. They're not "heroes"--that's just their job.

Again, I did not intend on creating a poll to determine whether the poster population preferred a stay-at-home mother or a career woman - although I see how posters could have misunderstood my intention, especially considering the thread title. However, I stated specifically in the question field to read the post, and I asked which wife would you prefer, not which type of wife. I understand that not all, or even most, career women nor stay-at-home mothers are as I described; rather, I meant to offer two nearly opposite choices to respondents: a passive, inferentially unambitious woman who is satisfied with domestic duties and pleasing her husband by performing them; against a ambitious, aggressive woman who always demands more.
Thinking deeper, in reality this dichotomy could possibly correspond to something in reality: hormone levels. The first woman would have a low testosterone level, even for a woman; the second would have a higher testosterone level than most women. Personally, I find masculine characteristics in women very unappealing; heck, I even dislike some of them in males (i.e. "alpha males")!
