An intriguing perspective...

Thx for your comments!

Lol..not feeling grouchy at all, atm!

But, as far as being assertive...and not being a doormat, or letting others just walk all over me, and correcting false innuendo...I'm all for that!

I'm sorry, but attacking me personally is not gonna get you anywhere...I will use the "Ignore" feature, if need be

I have a right to my opinion...you have a right to yours...but you have no right, to silence me, either.

It's called "freedom of speech"...
Oh sweetie, lighten up.

You have to take these things with a grain of salt. Forums are a tough environment and sometimes what is said is not meant to be taken in the way you take it.

The written word doesn't fare too well with certain types of humour.

I deeply apologize, Djuna I am truly sorry for my own very harsh words...I guess I completely misinterpreted what was said, earlier I shouldn't have gotten upset with you as I did <hides head in corner>

Please accept my sincere apology? Can you hopefully forgive me?

ETA: Out of respect, I have also deleted my earlier post, where I had used the strong language due to misreading your earlier comments.

That's why the women were rude! Old folks take forever!

Some of the very meanest ppl I've come across, have been in their later years. Why does age tend to make ppl's basic levels of compassion and positive emotional expression of things like love, kindness, and affection, harden and become much more inhibited and repressed?
Weird. I have noticed the opposite. People gain some perspective and stop being as self-involved.

Maybe you are talking about seniors with some of kind of dementia that makes them crotchety and mean?
