If you're not a creepy guy, I don't see why this remark would come off as creepy.

Yes, I have a thing for her. But I doubt anything will ever happen between us. For all I know, she could be taken.

Anyway, I was watching a show recently and I noticed that I think one of the actresses looks like her. I used to watch this show a lot, but that was before I knew this cashier, so I guess I never put two and two together until I started watching the show again.

I don't think it would be creepy at all. Geez, some of the posters are reading way too much into this. Work it into one of your casual conversations with her, and don't make a big deal out of it. She will likely be flattered.

I don't think it's creepy. I remember a senior guy at school who used to walk home the same way I did. One day he caught up with me and said "Did you know you look like Linda Ronstadt?"

He and I became really good friends after that. He was such a nice guy.

^^^This.

In fact, I would find it entirely uncreepy, probably because I'm used to hearing something similar myself.

See, now that would make me uncomfortable, and then I'd feel weird every time I saw him after that. Saying someone is beautiful indicates romantic or lustful feeling. Saying someone resembles someone else is neutral.

I had this horribly rude boss once. She looked like Babe Ruth. I did not mention this fact.

I never ask out cashiers. I'd think it was creepy and if it goes badly, I'd be avoiding her whenever a register was open.

The exception, not the rule.
