I don't think it was a smart move... you basically gave her an "ultimatum"... you date me or we no longer friends... ha! I say she is the lucky one... hopefully she read between the lines... if I liked her enough, I would tell her that I like her and see if she was interested... I wouldn't be throwing out ultimatums... that sounds childish... especially someone you met only several weeks...
