Yay! I just replaced the plug end of my 100 ft extension cord. I handily cut it off a couple of weeks ago when I was trimming bushes. : I never even thought about the possibility of repairing it. I probably would have tossed it, and purchased a new one. My BF is much smarter about these things that I am!
I am in the process of attempting to restore his hard drive on his laptop. He neglected to renew his virus scanner, and has been using it with no protection.
Ah well. Hopefully I am much smarter about these things than he is.

I usually have always replaced the damaged ends. The ends you buy are usually better quality then the original.

Sounds like a good place to be, you certainly don't want to be the other way around.
An explanation would be long and boring but essentially what you have is your own fish plus any leased fish the owner may have in his pocket. We call the latter OPFs (other peoples fish). These OPFs come with the originating boats salmon bycatch allocation as well as the fish. The owner can keep those salmon in his pocket by not catching the pollock that they covered and use them to cover his own fish or if the boys are doing well he can go after the leased fish or any permutation you can think of so long as he neither goes over on salmon or fish. It can get pretty complicated when you own 16 boats and your combined quota runs over 100 million lbs. Here on the pointy end of the stick we do not have possession of the numbers which are a moving target anyways based on fishing success and the owners whims so much like the dogs we are we hunt until our master tells us to quit. In this case our master may have exceeded his bag limit. lol And before any of you start whining about bycatch my total salmon catch this season is less than 1/3000 of 1% of my total catch. This is the cleanest fishery in the world.
