I'm married, and I wouldn't say problems but we have had some differences of opinion and discussions. For example, sometimes I question his choice of friends, and what we each consider offensive is very different. On the other hand, we've learned a little more about each other thanks to Facebook. We try not to take it very seriously ourselves - I'm the more serious one and when I find myself getting too worked up I take a break from it and things fall back into perspective.
Facebook is increasingly being used as evidence in divorce court, so I don't see how people can't take the content posted on it seriously. Besides, thoughts and fantasies can be just as destructive to a relationship as actions can, especially when a) they're being disclosed in the first place, b) they can facilitate emotional affairs, and c) they can eventually lead to destructive actions. "It's just a website!" is a statement of denial, as far as I'm concerned, especially since I was ****ed over by a woman late last year who began falling in love with another guy online, and who cried, "It's just a website!" whenever I questioned her about her interactions with the guy she eventually ended up falling for.
On a related note, I deleted my Facebook account last December. Good riddance.
I have a FB account but hardly ever access it. My husband doesn't have one. I find it rather silly and overloaded with too much minutiae of people's everyday lives.
Nope never a problem. I have no idea how it could cause problems, but apparently it does because everyone talks about it causing problems. Oh, well.
Because some people use it as a diary.
