I tried it in Japan as well. I'm just not a sake fan.

I've tried it a bunch of times - both in Japan and here in the states. It tastes like rubbing alcohol to me. Then again, most hard liquor tastes like rubbing alcohol to me unless it's mixed with something else. However, the sake tasting in Japan was fun and I did get a little tipsy!
