I won't date a girl who doesn't know how to cook. And she has to at least enjoy it somewhat. I know how to cook myself and enjoy it decently.

I don't know about the other poster, but I'm not a big foodie. I just don't enjoy/like a lot of foods which makes cooking unappealing to me. My repertoire of meals is rather limited to say the least.

There's nothing sexier to me, than a man who knows how to cook Gordon Ramsay, for example--what's sexier than him in the kitchen? Nevertheless it's hard to find a guy that even tries to make a decent meal

Gordon Ramsey's attitude is what makes him sexy. Mario Batali...not so hot (I don't care what he's cookin! Those crocs are a total turn off. )

I think cooking is boring when you're doing it by yourself. It's seems like a chore. Even when it's going to be good I'm thinking, "Can I be done already and start eating??!!" Cooking with another would be fun because then there's conversation, working together, etc. And, of course, the meal.

[is this a metaphor?]

Cooking is fun when you do it together but a bore when done alone.
As long as she isn't retarded kitchen-wise I can find more important criteria for a relationship.

Agreed. Ive observed that when i'm preparing a meal for the family, its not as bad but if the meal is being cooked for myself...i often dont even eat it. Sad, because i am a decent cook.
