I keep wondering, why do I want a girlfriend so badly? Aside from the fact that I've never had one & I'm curious about what it's like.....I think it just seems nice & it's an idea that really appeals to me. A girl that likes me and enjoys spending time with me? Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside just thinking of that.

Sexually, it's almost tangential: I can get sex other ways via drunken hookups, CraigsList trannies & worse comes to worse, prostitutes. But a RELATIONSHIP? That's something you have to earn. Someone who likes you and whom you like in return? Not common at all.

It pains me when others seemingly get what I want so easily and then throw it away by cheating and being "less than there"; but things happen for a reason, I guess. Maybe I'll get a chance someday.

Why do you want a significant other? Or NOT want one, if that is the case?

Hmm I assume a boyfriend would be nice to experience and see for myself how I'd be in a relationship. I'd like to share a special bond with someone, have someone to cuddle with. I am constantly around my family and it would be refreshing to spend my time with someone else..

In my case, I wouldn't turn one down if it came along but I'm not pusuing one either. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't.

I definitely want one but I'm putting it off until I accomplish a couple of my goals. Men are distracting.

I'm in no way looking! I have a 4 country trip planned this summer, i'll be damned if I let a relationship get in the way of that!! On top of that, I'm moving across the country in the fall.

Indeed, that is why many people enjoy being in a relationship. There's nothing wrong with that. Companionship is a wonderful thing. I hope 2012 brings you what you seek!

Maybe you want a girlfriend TOO badly, Soviet.
It's kinda like with pregnancy: when couple try too hard - nothing happen, when they relax and give it a time, it happen right away!
So, relax, and in a meantime ask yourself how come that you can't find the right one.

Obama didn't win the election by 'relaxing'... is all I'm saying.
