Snob

noun: snob; plural noun: snobs

* a person with an exaggerated respect for high social position or wealth who seeks to associate with social superiors and dislikes people or activities regarded as lower-class.
* a person who believes that their tastes in a particular area are superior to those of other people.

Here we are, this is the definition of a snob. Introverts are not snobs for sometimes being shy.

My brother covers the definition perfectly. He keeps no friends below his perceived status. He puts alot of money and energy into buying high-end everything (houses, wine, bicycles, etc.). And he thinks his taste is superior to others; he's a classic foodie as well.

He and his wife will go to Paris or the Alps and seek out great meals, beautiful if/not overly touristy sites, and nothing else. Their lifestyle is devoid of wisdom, depth, and spirituality because it is centered around a pre-defined vision of what the good life is (very material).

Well I don't judge a book by it's cover because you will look like an ass if you're wrong about them. I have been called a snob but it's because I'm introverted around people I don't know. I'm actually very friendly when I open up to someone, if you're rude to me I'll give you an attitude right back.

Some people aren't snobs at all maybe they don't like you and it's why they are cold to some people.
