Most massages in the West are purely therapeutic. Many men in particular, however, see it as sexual thing. Erotic massage is something else entirely. In Asia they take advantage of the fact I just mentioned by offering you 'happy endings' after the massage.

Westerners make a distinction between 'sexual' and 'non-sexual' while the schools of philosophy of the East, e.g. Tantric, don't see everything as 'sexual' in a way, 'sexual' being the creative life forces of the Universe. Certain types of massage help one get in touch with their body and soul, intimately linked with their sexuality. Sexuality is not something that is hidden behind bedroom doors, or hidden by whispers. It pervades every waking motivation we have.
I think you're making something out of nothing. A professional massage is like massage therapy, depending on where you're going. If it's some spa, they'll probably do the candles and warm oils but that's theraputic, not sexual. If you're wife recommended it, I doubt she's sending you to a "happy ending" massage parlor lol. My husband loves massages. Me personally, I don't care for them. I don't like strangers touching me lol...but I do like massage therapy at the chiro. If you're just not comfortable with the idea of a stranger touching you then don't go based on that. Don't make your decision based on it being sexual.
enjoy the massage, if the lady doing it acts in anyway you don't like then simply tell her you are uncomfortable with her actions. remember, even if she offers to give a happy ending YOU have to accept in order for it to happen.
This is my point, we don't know what side of town she's on, or from. This could be really embarrassing.
I think I understand what you are worried about.
You think when this skinny, young attractive massage therapist comes into the room and starts rubbing oil all over you somehow you are going to pitch a tent.
I'm sure this event is not like some crude porno where it gets out of hand. Your wife booked the thing I'm sure it will be done by a person who is not attractive and will help straighten out your back and not anything else.

Good point...Some people are more sensitive to touch/sensual than others. For instance, I admit that's one reason I'm a bit afraid to get massaged by a male therapist (call me insecure). It doesn't matter how hot the therapist is, just being touched can elicit this involuntary response in me, maybe because I'm not used to being touched. I admit if it's an attractive young woman (which is especially the case in Asia) it's easy to have sexual thoughts, especially as the massage style there, and the fact that even draping is optional, it's easy to have sexual thoughts. Often these so-called spas deliberately try to make you pay for the 'extra' as that's where they get their tips. It's happened even with old middle aged ladies I didn't find attractive at all, so it might happen if a male were to massage me. Doesn't mean I'm attracted to him, though, it's just he might get the wrong idea.
