Let's see, typical for my neck of the woods:

~$60 -- typical dinner for 2 at a lower-end place or a mid-range place, no drinks.
~$80-$100 -- dinner and drinks at a mid-range place

Fancy place? $150+

Luckily, where I live the there a ton of amazing options with ingredients on par with the 5-star places in the $15-$30 entree range. So I usually just pick one of those places.

gosh, we've gone to a wide variety of different places and i can't think of a time when the bill was over $40 lol. we usually stick to a few favorites now, though, and again its usually about $30 for food and atmosphere that we both enjoy. he hardly drinks and i'd rather not drink alone so i'm sure that factors in. the few times its been 40 were when either i got a drink or we were feeling generous with the tip
