Reading these messed up threads is really hilarious....gee...are there any normal folk who just have fun? Dating is not about money or sex....it is having a nice time with another person....and I can do that...not spending money...or having sex....
Yeah from reading these threads it sounds like way too many people are way too hung up on protocol. Honestly, if two people are having a great time, the question of 'who pays' shouldn't even be on their minds...
I can't believe man are still expected to pay in this day and age. So much for gender equality. I would never date a bimbo who's against gender equality.
Did gramps also happen to say real women should stay at home cooking, cleaning and looking after the children?
We must be cousins!
In all seriousness, a woman can do those things if she chooses to. She can just as easily decide to have her own career. Either way, it's her decision.
When it comes to dating, I'm more of a traditionalist so I reach for the check. If she wants to split it, however, I have no problems with that.

It just doesn't jive that if you want everyone in a relationship to be equal, that you still want to retain some of these chivalrous things that stem from this concept that women need to be 'taken care of.' It sounds like taking advantage, to me.

Just saying, what if men played the same waiting games with women??
How far would you women be willing to go for a guy who wouldn't spend a cent on you for the first 90 days?
Every date and outting would be Dutch until after his 90-day rule.
I have never heard about the 90 day rule and I have sex when I want to -90 minutes or 9 years later. As far as a man asking me out and not paying I would probably not date him again. I have no troule picking up checks when we are serious or exclusive but not before that. Maybe a round of drinks but that is it.
I don't get it. Guys complain about spending money on dates because they don't want to "go broke" waiting for intimacy to happen. Then they complain when women have sex with them "too early," saying that they lose respect for them or they lose interest because the thrill of the chase is gone. And I think it is even more hilarious that these same guys still respect themselves in the morning, as if they had sex with said woman with someone else's junk.
+1. I'm a man. I'm lazy. I don't cook unless if we have dinner parties. Hence, I always jump on a dinner date opportunity and I pay. In return, when she wants to stay in...she makes dinner almost every time.
If they expect men to cook why get married? I'm cooking for myself now for.free. why get married and have her hand in my wallet and still have to cook. Doesn't make sense to me
