I've known a few who pulled themselves out of some spectacular tail spins to have nice, stable lives with women they adore. It's not THAT common, but it happens.

peoples standards today are just way too high. Especially with the economy being as terrible as it is.
I think a lot of it depends on where you live. Where I live, $12 an hour is a really good wage, and that's what you're going to get working retail management. A glut of college students drives down wages. Of course, a studio apartment is $800 a month, so basically everyone is broke unless you work in the medical industry, and even then our RNs get paid beans compared with other areas.
I don't think I've ever heard wages come up on a date or in polite conversations because it's assumed the person you're with has no money. I suppose if I lived in LA or NY things would be a bit different and I may expect more because people, in general, have more.
Interesting. So how does that work? Do you inquire into the potential date's background through a series of questions to make sure he is an ex-bad boy? What about guys who weren't formerly bad boys? Are they dismissed? I would imagine that such examination would require a huge effort to weed out men who don't qualify.
Women like to have SEX with badboys and like to SETTLE DOWN with the nice guys.
Sad thing is some of them end up either pregnant or having so much sex that they use themselves up during their best years. Then when they do decide to settle down no nice guy wants them.
Maybe they just want a guy with balls instead of a wimp who was simply scared all his life?

Not following your logic; so if you weren't a former bad boy then you have no "balls" & are a "wimp" who was scared all if his life? That really doesn't make any since at all. And how does nice guy correlate with wimp & ex bad boy? Bc it would seem to me that there is a correlation between either of those terms.
But when they reach around 29-30 and "have had their fun" and want to settle down they tend to go for the nice guy
