Well, I don't say anything with the intent of boosting somebody's ego (unless it's friend in need). I compliment men and women alike on things I like or admire about them.
I can see where doing this with an ulterior motive might not come across well.
Ask guys for advice on things. They like to feel like you need them. It's flattering to them to think that you depend on them for things...............oh wait..............
It sounds like you want to know what to say and do for a man so you can get him to do things for you that he wouldn't do on his own, which is heading into sketchy territory. Just be yourself and do normal stuff and if he likes you, he'll do it anyway. No particular secret involved in doing so.
Spend time with your partner. Cook him a delicious meal at your house or spend a day at the beach with him. If you genuinely want to be with your partner and make quality time with him a priority, he will recognize that you care about him and enjoy his company.
Pay your partner a compliment. For example, tell him how handsome he looks in his new shirt or what a great sense of humor he has. When you compliment him, make sure you are sincere. Your partner will recognize when you are insincere and won't believe your compliments in the future.
