It's her birthday next month, and I want to take my girl on a romantic vacation to some unknown destination! I thought I might ask you fine folks where in the world you might take your special someone? I have a few ideas in mind, but I'm sure there are places I haven't even considered. Money is not a major concern, but I don't think we'll be doing anything too crazy like renting out the Lincoln bedroom.
So what do you think?
What doe she think is romantic? I mean, yeah, a lot of people find Venice romantic. But that doesn't mean she will, and that's what's important here. What does she like?
I mean, the potential list is pretty long:
Hawaii, especially beaches
Greek islands
Balearics
Irish coast
Manhattan on New Year's Eve
Black Sea coast
Positano
New Hampshire in the fall when the leaves change color
If I ever get up enough nerve to get on a plane I'd go to Greece and Ireland. I don't find any specific city romantic though...it's what you DO in that location that makes it romantic.

...and I'm just spitballing here.

Good point. I mean we are pretty adventurous people. We both snow ski and scuba dive. We love places with history, and would probably hit up things like museums or art galleries. We love food so we would explore good restaurants, and would like to try new things. We would also hit up the night life. And we're also going to just spend a lot of time in the room

I would go to Mexico. I heard they're famous for partying, but if you're not into that, Thailand works pretty well. Places I've heard of people going in the past always seem to involve Hawaii, SF, or Florida.

In particular, Queenstown, New Zealand. One of the adventure capitals of the world.
