I typically hate these black-and-white questions, because they are usually stupid and false choices. I am married to a woman I love.

I chose Love over Money. I once dated the daughter of a coal multi-millionaire. She was okay, but certainly not worth putting up with her a-hole father at every Friday night dinner, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and God knows what else until the end of time. I'm pretty sure I would have ended up bashing his skull in with a five iron at whatever horrid country club he forced us to join. Meanwhile, my wife and I started out poor as church mice, worked hard, and have zero worries financially.

When you marry for money, you pay for every dime.

Aren't you the guy who has never been in a relationship but likes to pontificate on relationships? Then what do you know?

What do I know? I’ve learned from others’ mistakes and decided not to make them.

Love.

Interestingly, i felt more fulfilled when I was poor than now in upper middle class. After a while the accumulation of "stuff" does nothing for you.

No. It means you're a lazy kibbitzer who doesn't even have the nerve to play the game in the first place. I've watched a lot of football in my time, but I would never presume to stroll out onto the field and tell the coach and players what they're doing wrong.

Avoiding potential hurt and conflict so I have more time, energy and headspace for what I want to do in this life is lazy? Okay...

49 other men have made the same choice I did in this poll. Why don’t you sling off at them?

Because for someone who claims to be uninterested in the subject, you devote a lot of time in this forum. Most people not only have the guts to not only be in relationships but to succeed at them.

Love is hard to find that is lasting... almost improbable in this generation.

Money is plentiful and anyone with a pulse and a strong work ethic can make it.

True Love?
Like When Harry met Sally, Pretty Woman , Titanic ?

Listen if you can sit down and watch the Hallmark movies with your wife that's true love!

No beers allowed.
