Men:
Does it bother you when other men stare at your woman in front of you? And not just a glance... I mean stare. Like an up and down and turn their heads! Maybe even a Chris Tucker from Friday... "DAAAAYUM"

Do you say something to them? Or just ignore it... Or the complete opposite, do you like it... Do you get a kick out of other men wanting your lady? Does it boost your ego to have a woman who is a trophy piece or do you prefer one who flies under the radar?

If it were just a girl you were dating would that make it ok?

Women:
Does it bother you if your Man does not say anything when other men look you up and down as described above in front of them? Or do you prefer your man to ignore it? Do you like being noticed by other men or you prefer to fly under the radar and not bring attention to yourself?

My husband thanks them for the compliment and tells them they have great taste in women and he hopes they find the perfect woman for them just like he found the perfect woman for him. Not that I am perfect by any means and neither is he. I am just the perfect woman for him and he is the perfect man for me including all of our humanness, flaws, wrinkles, gray hairs, love handles, very recessed hairline and all.

There's only two people with whom I'm concerned about how they judge my girlfriend, me and her.

There are varying degrees. I have had men come up and just flat out compliment me on my girlfriend at the time. One time her car started to overheat so we pulled over to a gas station to fill it up with coolant. While I was doing that under the hood, there must have been 3 honks and cheers from different cars. She was in a short black dress.

Anyway, any attention my girlfriend gets, I have no problem with. The minute they start buying her drinks or flirting, it turns ugly.

How come this thread has me thinking about Nickelback, "Next Contestant"

I guess it just doesn't bother me if some guy checks out my wife. I know where her heart is.

I suppose if it is a disrespectful gawking, I might be displeased.

If it is just admiring, I don't care, but if it goes past that like in the past with a group of thug punks, I will say something.

I generally date guys who think I should be admired. However, if I was made to feel uncomfortable, well then all bets are off.

A perfectly nice but kind of nerdy guy once started chatting me up at the flea market, not realizing my then-boyfriend was the large biker type rummaging through the tools next to me. When my ex turned to ask if we could buy a set of screwdrivers with what we had in our flea market budget, the guy turned dead white and basically took off at a near-run in the opposite direction, apparently expecting to be beaten to a pulp for his audacity. The really funny part though was the way my ex spent the next 5 minutes apologizing for "ruining (my) game." From his perspective, he had no doubt about my feelings for him and there was no reason I shouldn't enjoy other men admiring me.

I would look at him in the eyes to let him know that I know what he is doing and then just go from there. One time I caught three guys looking at my then 16 year old daughter, ooh.. it was on, I confronted all three and told them what the he_ _ they were looking at!! Of course they denied looking at her.

It never bothered my ex-husband if other men looked at me. Although he'd get angry is if they tried to talk to me if he was around. Then he'd step up and let them know I was his wife.

I guess the looking never bothered me because I am so used to it. Since the age of 14, men have always stared at me, especially my butt. Over the years I've learned not to pay any attention to men who are doing that--moreso when I was married or when I am in a relationship. I try to completely tune out the guys who ogle and make rude comments.

I like being noticed by nice, polite men, but not the ones who look at me like I'm a piece of meat.
