So men don't ever call women "butterfaces"? "Grenades"? Rate women on a scale of 1 to 10? Bribe a buddy to go off with "the ugly friend" so that he can score with the hot one? I'm not seeing women doing that to men on a large scale.

Yup, quite true (and interesting that it was glazed over by the males here, LOL). CDC stats.

Trust us, guys. We women are crying too. And covering our eyes a lot.

I think the difference is that overweight men tend to not see themselves as overweight. "I still look pretty good" (while patting the belly)..."I'm athletic..." etc. Not to our eyes, guys! Sorry. You are just plain fat. Fatter than we are, in fact.

Sorry for the brutality but for the love of Dog it needed to be said.

I do agree that women get it worse than anyone when it comes to being judged on looks. The problem with our culture is the obsession with looking good and looking young. The media tries to make people ashamed of growing old, like it's unnatural, and the most important thing in the world is to look young. It's twisted. When I travelled to other countries I noticed that older people were more respected. I don't know if it's still like that now, but it used to be. Both men and women can look good well into their older years if they take care of themselves. Dyed hair looks ridiculous at a certain age, though.

My one loser ex is on dating sites (probably to con since he is a con artist)and lists himself as "average". He is 5'8 and over 300 pounds (closer to 400 likely)and is obese. Men often think they are "big boned" or "athletic" when they are just fat. I've had fat guys tell me I needed to lose weight (including when I was very thin)while they themselves are obese. When I have rejected them I have heard things like I don't want a "real" man or I don't know what I am missing.

Depends on what color you dye it.

Going with a pale blonde or brown is safe when you're older. Or a nice ginger red.

Or even a pretty gray to even out the tone. Or a deliberate salt and pepper dye job.

I do agree that it's a rare person that looks good with a dark dye job at 70.

Yanno what fascinates me? Dudes that work out their biceps. Nothing but their arms.

Beer gut that looks like they're carrying triplets at 9 months, no tone to their butts, can barely walk a flight of stairs.

But, they're in shape! Look at those biceps.

I knew one of those guys and it made me laugh. His arms were in shape but he would tuck in his stomach and claim it was toned.

Yes, they are. The many morons that comprise this forum are proof of that. And the men on this forum are the only men I mean. Off line I simply don't know people like you and the rest on this forum happen to know because we don't reside within the same social circles.

I've especially noticed a lot of women freak out about getting older in the middle aged stage. They get really emotional about it. For men they are happy to get older because they see the advantages. For women it's all about looks and how other ppl perceive them, and the fact that they lose the ability to have kids at that age.
