If you have an engineering degree. If you don't it is way harder. You need to be fairly experienced for most jobs. And startups don't add sales, marketing and admin people until they have lots of money.

from the sounds of it in this thread, it's very difficult to find a good job and make a living in a lot of the cities being discussed.

I actually have an engineering degree but ended up doing work unrelated to my major.
Avoid Boston contrary to popular advice. Avoid MA in general. People live to plan. Non-married people (men) past 30 in MA are seen as losers and potential pedophiles in an overly kid friendly state.

yeah, most of my friends say things like that. personally i couldn't care less about being "valued". i simply enjoy being able to have sex with a different hot girl every night if i wish.
