After I went out on about 30 dates, there were a some instances where the woman was looking for something that I don't have. A guy with money who is established. They could have extrapolated from the info I provided, but apparently that was too much to ask. So then I was more specific about my occupation, and all the dates after didn't care.
I think the best way to meet others online, is have good pictures, enough information for the other person to get an idea of who you are, but not the entire life story, or other weird stuff. Then, after a few messages, have a phone conversation. Not long, but enough to get an idea of who I'm meeting. That would have saved me a lot of time, as I was just meeting dates with little communication.
