I've noticed the vast majority women tend to prefer the dark type of guys, like orlando bloom, johnny depp, colin farrell, john mayer, george clooney, hugh jackman, adryen brody etc.
Is this true or its only more of a hollywood projection which is not really accurate?
I think it is astounding that you claim to know the personal preferences of "the vast majority" of women.
I just assume that he's given surveys to a representative sample of women who returned them and said they liked dark skinned guys. I am puzzled he wouldn't ask them to write a reason for their answers, though.

I don't mean dark skinned mostly, just slighty olive skinned and specially the DARK hair is what women usually prefer the most, usually darkbrown/black hair. On the other hand although many women like brown eyes, quite a few prefer the light eye/dark hair combo aswell. Just what I've noticed.
But maybe It's also because darkhaired guys outnumber vastly the true blondes in America.

I think the OP is true, but needs to be qualified. Colin Farrell and Johnny Depp are darker than Hugh Jackman. They are different looks, so different types of women would be attracted to them. The former combo seems to sell well in SoCal.

Hugh jackman could pass for italian in many pictures. Johnny depp on the other hand looks mexican. Colin farrell is just your typical dark Irish that could pass for spanish/portuguese person. But they all have in common similar pigmentation.
I think many of the "anglo saxons" (pretty wrong term btw) are in fact dark looking, without being mixed with italian, spanish, or arab/latin american ancestries.
