Say you really hit it off with someone (on all levels sexual, emotional)......then you have a long period apart (I'm talking 15 years!)
Then you will be in the company of that person again.....assumng you are both in good health, what are the chances of hitting it off like you once did?

I've never been in that situation, but I'm guessing "no".
Fifteen years is a long time, and what you are remembering as a buxom, hot 20 year old might be a fat, saggy, gave birth to 4 children 35 year old.
Honestly, I have no idea. I hope you guys both find each other hot on an emotional and physical level!
It's a crap shoot. You could have the chemistry after 15 years and then again, both could have changed and it's no chemistry at all. Guess you have to find out by seeing that person again and see how both of you feel.

Also don't forget about him changing. He could have had a head full of hair and is bald now. Trim and now has a beer belly.
But if both are realistic and know that outer changes occur, it might not be a bad thing. It's usually the inside feelings of a person that changes and they see that person in a different light.
It is possible. It is possible that you were attracted to youth which often gives the appearance of confidence. Now it is time to see if it was for real. Looks will change but the nature of the person will remain the same.
Now here's a thread which quickly calls "chemistry" exactly what it is: physical attraction. Nice to see the honesty come through when the guards are down. Keep up the good work.

Full head of hair here (I'm 33) I'm fit and women often compliment me on my looks........have seen a photo of her recently, still find her attractive. Hopefully its the same in person.
I don't hold out hopes of us clicking like we did back then. But even if we do in half of what we did, I won't be disappointed.
Not going to overthink it. Just go with the flow and have a good time.
All humans are compatible. That's why we are part of the same species. All the "reasons" we devise for not being with this or that person are only ego serving inventions of our minds.

Ha! The man I ever shared the most amount of chemistry with was also the most unattractive man I ever dated. Lookswise that is. He had a certain something, don't know what to call it but maybe it was the way he walked so tall and graceful. Now after 20 years I have a chance to see him again so I've been wondering the same thing that Dave asked and I honestly don't know the answer.
A lot can change in 15 years. Chemistry (which to me specifically means sexual attraction) may or may not still exist. Compatibility can also change over time. So, while you are predisposed to give them the benefit of the doubt, you won't KNOW how it will be until you meet again and spend a little time together.
