My guy is going on a one-day trip and I would like to get him a little something special to think of me during his travels.

I was thinking a nice pen, travel pillow or new iPad casel

Also, a compass..with a cute little saying like "find your way back to me"..I know it's cheesy, but we're both big saps.

What would be a good gift? It's a little last minute, since he is leaving tomorrow morning. And I only have tonight to plan this gift.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Definitely something that a person from an internet forum who doesn't even know him suggests.

I'd much prefer that than something that my GF thought of herself. YMMV

If it was me, three packs of gum would be perfect.

Sweet thought..... but he's only gone overnight?

How long have the two of you been going out?

Maybe it's just me, but it seems a little over-the-top giving a gift so he will think of you the 24 hours he is away.

I'd make him a playlist or burn a cd or something along those lines.

See him off with a deep, long, passionate kiss. That's more than enough to do the trick; he'll remember you just fine.

And make sure you tell him that this wasn't your idea, but 3 people online suggested it.

Yup !

A girl I dated a year ago snuck into my building the night before I left on a trip and left a "care package" under my door - some magazines, snacks, etc... it was thoughtful enough but it kind of weirded me out. We didn't last long after that.
