I called from my home phone last night because my cell phone needed to be charged but I didn't unblock my number. I did send a text before I called from my home phone and when she answered she said
"Make sure you continue to send a text before you call from home letting me know it's you because sometimes my EX calls from a UNknown number and I want to avoid his calls."
Would you be turned off?
No, I'd respect her wishes. There is a reason that she doesn't want to deal with her ex.

If you are that paranoid from a simple request you should cut all ties with her and run as fast as you can screaming like a mamsy pamsy, immediately so she can move on with her life and you can have no worries about being stalked and harmed by her ex whatever he was.
