What is not crappy about staying with someone that you don't want to be with.

If she's someone you'd have stayed with anyway, you stay. If she's not someone you'd have stayed with, you don't. Staying when you otherwise would not only makes for a bad relationship that will likely get worse and end anyway. Wisdom is making the right decision even when pressured to make the wrong decision.

I think that the pregnancy probably wasn't his idea and that the girl decided to get pregnant in the hopes of trapping him into marriage.

I think it's pretty crappy, but it's best for women not to get pregnant by men they aren't married to. Sure, married men can still leave their pregnant wives (like Tiki Barber), but a woman should at least TRY to make sure she's in a stable, committed marriage before getting pregnant.

When that happens, she probably tried to trap him anyway. If a woman doesn't want to get pregnant there's a million methods to do it.

I have no respect for women that get pregnant with a man that doesn't want to stay with her. In my own case said women makes very poor decision with men in general and that makes it a lot worse for the children.

If he's not an idiot he will at least attempt to be her friend in order to emotionally support her through the pregnancy. If she's too crazy for that, well, there's little he can do.
