It sounds like you are VERY active and obviously derive pleasure from walking great lengths as well as hike and this is wonderful HOWEVER….
You are not going to find someone who likes doing this as much as you do unless you really try…
I am active, I workout 3-4 times a week, walk the other days and I will agree with Loves Mountains, I do not mind taking a leisurely stroll down the by the shore from one end to the next however going 30 miles to a “cool” beach spot? A bit excessive.
As well as hiking..umm, I pass..I get the serenity thing, I get the fact that you were born with these tireless legs however again, you cannot always have it your way…
Have you considered joining these beach walking groups they have advertised in the paper under local activities? I know especially around my neck in the woods there are groups that gather every weekend be it day or night that gather at the beach and this is what they do…
You might try and find your dream girl there.
Best of luck.
i can walk 40-50 blocks a day (according to nyc geography) i think i can do it.
I couldn't do that. I got short powerful legs. Legs I think power lifters are born with, so they're very shapely, but they're short, I couldn't walk that much, I do make it a point to walk about 4 miles a day, 4-6 days a week though.
Ever since I was a kid I knew I was different from others. My legs are built so that they can walk without getting tired for some reason. It doesn't matter who I walk with, women or family, all have complained they were tired when I was enjoying spending time with them and wanted to walk even further rather than turn around and go home.
...I can ride 100 miles on a bike in one day and be able to keep going the next day without a problem. I can walk on the sand in the beach all day and still be actually enjoy the walk at the end of it.
The few women I went on a date with on South Beach wanted to turn around and go back after two hours of walking or take a rest.
Two hours in the sand isn't a "long" a walk. It's barely maybe 8 or 9 miles.
I recently suggested a date that involves biking 30 miles (on a trail, not a road) to a beach spot, and the girl though that it was a bit far.
There is one thing I want to be able to find in a partner and that is someone who enjoys an all day physical activity... Yet I haven't found any woman that really wants to do that...
I think a 2 hr. walk in the sand at the beach is a long walk and I think a bike ride of 30 miles is really long. Most women when dating, especially at the beginning want to do more relaxed fun/romantic type things. The big thing is you have to find someone that can keep up with you and wants to as well.
I usually don't like walking more than three feet at a time but if you place lasagna at a strategic distance I will walk across continents to get to it.

I can cook delicious lasagna. I use eggplants, a mix of aged cheeses and meat from specially cooked Russian cutlets as a part of my secret recipe.
Eggplants are a part of delicious lasagna, trust me.
