You almost left the forum after being a member for a month because of trolls? Seriously......
No, I almost left because of the PUAs. I realised they were changing my view of men in general for the worse. I didn't like that. But there seem to be fewer of them around, for the nonce.
I find my BS meter going off often. Regardless it makes for interesting debates.
For threads where it is personally about the OP. My numbers have it at 47%. What about you?
I generally assume any brand new member who makes their first post here about some problem, is a troll until proven otherwise. Seriously, if you honestly were in need of relationship advice and went to google, you would not first come to "City-Data" and think "perfect, I bet they can help me out!"
Sometimes I still give an honest response, but more for the benefit of people who may legitimately be reading or searching for help or advice.
Then there are Nila's PUA's. They are not trolls really, as they typically are normal forum members. Yet, they certainly have a different worldview of women and dating than I and some other regulars here have.
Of the more legitimate posts, I think there is a lot of bias due to point of view. Every relationship issue has two sides, and when someone has issues they are more likely than not to be presenting a biased description of the problem and factors involved. What surprises me is the amount of "advice" given that ignores this as people jump on an OP's bandwagen to slam their SO for some social injustice.
As mods, we are personally required to go out and verify each story to the best of our capability. Once we catch up we will have statistics available for you.
