Why did you break-up with the last person you were with? (married, women)

Last relationship that didn't work out - she couldn't be mature enough for the next step _ engagement to marriage. We were together for 18 months prior to making the drift south. We ended it by about 24 months, a six month decline. No regrets, no further contact. She was widowed, mid 40's, I was early 50's. No one since, and that was two years ago. Last date that didn't work out - that's teen years. You do more research (hopefully) ahead of time to sort through the might-be's from the musts. I am not looking for a hook-up nor for a s/t relationship. I am looking for long-term, and I work in that direction. You know it from the first and it continues. All this discussion is a prelude to a kiss. Really. It's worth the wait and no cutting corners.
I didn't. He stopped calling me.
I thought he very well may be "the one" for me- before he had stopped calling me of course.
Now he has been calling me.
Kicked him to the curb because he wouldn't get a friggin job or maybe i should say keep it, if he got mad he'd quit and he cheated. Had enough of his crap so it was time to move on...
I broke up with my last boyfriend because he was a bit self-absorbed. Always at the gym, in superb condition. He was a dr and had a great job. Very muscular. Too muscular.
He started telling me that my friends should be jealous that I had him. Things like that, to me, are not something I am looking for in a man.
The main reason my last girlfriend and I broke up was because she was moving 3 hours away. However, the underlying causes include the fact that we had different expectations of what makes a relationship work, the fact that I was putting in all the effort to make it work, and she stopped having sex with me.
Being a young and stupid man I was married for two years and realized she had no intention of changing. As girly as that seems, I thought she was going to lose weight and understand what I was about and she did neither. It's my fault for marrying her so I just ended it because in the end all we did we argue. We had fun, but we argued way too much for my taste.
She wanted to change just about everything about me. From the jeans I wore, to wanting me to get rid of my animals... ETC. No one tells me what to do. It was showing some respect.
He got arrested and then after I'd run around getting lawyers, his door fixed (popo smashed in) and lying for him in court regarding where he lives (with me - lie) so he could get bail...he then accused me of spying on him and asked me how long I'd been working for the cops.
