i recently started developing a crush on my boss, even though she is twice my age. I think it might have something to do with how she is respected by everybody on our staff. in that case i can't help but think that falling for her was inevitable.
Does anyone else think that it is only natural for you to be attracted to your boss?
It's not natural necessarily, but it sometimes happens. I've been attracted to a few of my bosses. They're well-educated, well-compensated and confident in their position in life. If they're attractive to boot, it's hard not to be attracted to them.
Expected? No. I don't think it's too uncommon. The age difference between you and your boss might be. I've been "the boss" most of my adult life. I only know of two employees who had crushes on me, but I was never available so there could have been more.

I hope not. I've never had a boss I found attractive.
I would think what is expected is to keep the business relationship with a boss on a professional, business level. Now, that does not mean you would not or could not find yourself attracted to a boss. However, it certainly would not mean you would have to, and most likely would also mena you probably should not act on the atttraction while the person is a superior.
I have had a lot of bosses. I have never felt a deep attraction to them.
A few years ago I wanted my boss in the worst way. She was attracted to me also, but I resisted because she was 2 levels above me in the corporate chain and I thought better of it. She's with another company now and I regret not having fun for a bit!
Depending on the people involved, co-workers, work environment it sure can open you up to a lot of problems if you act on any attraction.
Then on the other hand, it can be the best thing that ever happened to you. Twenty years ago I was my wife's boss. After three weeks of being such I asked her out on a date. We have been together ever since that first date.
