So what do women like now I'm confused. I'm mainly talking to younger women in their early 20s. I hear them all say they prefer guys in their 20s.

But at the same time they all say they prefer rugged manly looking men over pretty boys or guys who look in between.

Famous Examples of rugged manly men by women are Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Hugh Jackman and all the other OLDER actors in their late 30s and 40s.
But if rugged guys like this hit on them they are disgusted, find it wierd etc, because they are much older. But if they are famous age isn't an issue anymore.

Pretty boys are in general all considered the younger looking actors in their 20s like Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner etc. In between guys are Ian Somerhalder, Jensen Ackles, Jude Law, Johnny Depp etc.

What do you prefer now. Younger guys or older rugged manly men? The rugged manly look comes with age, this is why only older men are called this.

I'll let you know after I attend the next "What all women think" conference where we decide collectively what it is we are all attracted to.

LOLOL!

OP, young women have all kinds of tastes. Some like pretty boys, some like rugged types, etc. Don't worry about it (since you can't morph into a different type, anyway). If you're either of those types, you should do ok. Some like geeky/nerdy types, too, fortunately for the geeks and nerds.

Johnny Depp is qualified for AARP, so there goes your theory.

My nitpicking aside, I do think the younger the woman the stronger the attraction to the pretty boy type. Give Justin Bieber's fans 10 years. Few will find him hot then.

The guys I've known who've each been considered "hot" by many women (in my age range) were tall, lean and clean-shaven. So I'd say the pretty boy look holds more universal appeal to women in my age range.

i'll give you a generous bribe if you help get the momentum going on that when y'all vote

(you think i'm lying but how else can you explain john travolta being a sex symbol, huh? he did the same thing years ago)

there isn't an answer to this.

I can tell you that a lot of women love the super slender look, at least from what I've seen, and a "pretty boy" face goes a long way with those women.

But that's not going to help answer your question because there really isn't a "one size fits all" answer her.

I had a group a girlfriends and we hung out most weekends and I think the reason we all got along in social circles so well is because none of us had the same taste in men.

What one person is attracted to another may find utterly repulsive and vice versa. Don't fret, there's no contradiction and you aren't missing a page out of the manual we all have.
