I was reading about a poor man getting cheated on in the most disgusting way possible and when I finished reading the thread, I was both impressed by that man's composure (I've never heard of anyone with that extreme level of self-control and kindness) and his hatred for the other guy but not her. I don't get this. I would be upset with the cheater since he/she is responsible for your hurt. They promised to commit to you.

This is the thread: I caught my fiancee cheating but she doesn't know it - LoveShack.org Community Forums

He went easy on the cheater during the break-up and didn't even insulted her or shamed her. I would have been mad as hell if a man cheated in that same manner and reacted right away calling him the worst names possible. That guy is definitely more kind than I would have been.

I think some guys think women are brainless pieces of property that some other man can just bewitch into sex or whatever.
Therefore...hate that guy.

Hurts a lot less than admitting you have been betrayed and/or might not be man enough to please her.

True but it really takes two to make it happen. As women, we can say no at any time so in that manner, it's her fault too.

Overall, both are hated and sometimes even the person who's been cheated on is hated, like in the case of Former General/CIA director Petreaus. People totally ripped on his wife saying she deserved it for looking so homely.

It really just depends on the person who is doing the hating and who they favor/disfavor the most.

No, you silly weak female.
You do not have the power to resist.
Therefore, the other male must die.

I would hate someone who treats me with absolute disrespect. Cheating is one of the worst thing you can do in a relationship, esp. during an engagement like in that man's story.

nah, my biggest beef was with the woman. If the guy had the look of shock like "I didn't know about you!" Even if it was an act from him, I wouldn't have a lot to say to him, other than to not get in my way.

Now, if he knew about me the whole time she was cheating, I'd probably rearrange his face a bit, especially if he were gloating. But most people won't do that in front of me. There are times where I can be very intimidating.

I read the link in the OP, it sounds like he is upset with her. He even left her. I think he handled it great.

Wow you must be assuming every women are the same. All I know is cheating is so low. That's something I'll never do. I would rather break up than hurt a man's heart like that.

I agree with the OP, the only person to blame is the person who cheated. The other person has nothing to do with it. If my girlfriend cheated on me with someone else, the last person I'd be worried about is the other guy.
